FT-2 with box 1/2 Made Beaver Hudson’s Bay Company HBC token Canada Breton 927

FT-2, Breton 927
This listing includes the following original items: a HBC token 1/2 made beaver which is scarce, the box is much rarer, and a used copy of the certificate that is at least extremely rare(This particular listing was bought along an original certificate that belong with another box and token). The original certificate was signed directly by the Captain of the inaugural flight and its First Officer. The certificate was made out to the name of Mrs. Kent.

In May 1958, in an article of the time, you could read the following: "As mementos, inaugural flight passengers were given special historical folders, a parchment scroll "certificate" and elegantly boxed "Beaver Tokens"...". These were given by the Hudson Bay Company (HBC) to the 70 passengers of the first flight to London from Vancouver known as the Hudson Bay Route by the TCA (Trans-Canada Air Lines).
