Montreal & Lachine Railroad Company souvenir issue fibers token 1847-1947
Breton 530c
Fibers (Some early plastic).
2.52 g
33.7 mm
Thickness 2.9 mm
Believed to have only 20 examples produced in fibres, with only one in gold, which is obviously considered scarcer.
The copper is more common for this souvenir issue and silver following it, I'd feel it's appropriate giving them the numbers Breton 530a and 530b respectively. The ones made of fibers would take the third spot at Breton 530c. The gold one taking the last spot with Breton 530d(The gold piece sold 5760$C including the hammer in Enchères Champagne sale of the Sherbrooke Seminary Collection, March 15th 2021).
Interesting fact, in the Sherbrooke Seminary Collection the cataloguer noted that there were different finish on the copper and silver issues, he called it antique and bright, I haven't seen them to confirm it or not.
