Their machine struck a terracotta jar concealing a veritable treasure inside. The Epfig treasure is one of the largest treasures discovered in Alsace from this period. It consists of 14,000 pieces from the Roman era, mainly made of bronze, dating from the 3rd and 4th centuries AD.<\/font><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><font face=\"Arial\" style=\"\" size=\"4\"><br \/><\/font><\/div>\n<div style=\"\"><font face=\"Arial\" style=\"\" size=\"4\">En 2010 trois ouvriers d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 mandat\u00e9e par le Syndicat d\u00e9partemental de l\u2019eau et de l\u2019assainissement r\u00e9alisent des travaux sur le r\u00e9seau d\u2019eau potable \u00e0 Epfig rue de la Montagne. Leur engin percute une jarre de terre cuite dissimulant \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur un v\u00e9ritable tr\u00e9sor. Le tr\u00e9sor d\u2019Epfig est l\u2019un des plus grands tr\u00e9sors d\u00e9couvert en Alsace pour cette p\u00e9riode.
