Description
1949 Bank Leumi Israel set of 10 coins, KM#MS1. (I didn’t cut the tape to verify the date)
1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 (2) and 500 prutah. One of the two 250 and the 500 prutah are in silver.
Still in the original baby-blue “muffin tin” holder. However it was taped to avoid unwanted opening.
All of the coins are Uncirculated as selected by the Bank, but the large 25 shows bag marks.
10.5 by 17.5 cm for the presentation set.
This coin series was issued by Bank Leumi in 1951–1954 for visitors, tourists, and collectors. Approximately 300 of these sets are known to exist, with slightly different versions of the caption on the acrylic plate.
These sets were given by the Bank to visitors and are quite scarce. (Perhaps about 300)
